How to play Yukon Solitaire
All 52 cards start in seven tableau columns and the four foundations begin empty. Column one holds a single face-up card; each of the other columns hides a few face-down cards under five face-up ones. There is no stock and no waste, so every move happens on the tableau itself.
- Pick up any face-up card together with every card resting on top of it — the group does not need to be a tidy run. That is the move that makes Yukon special.
- Drop a group onto a tableau card that is one rank higher and the opposite color — a red six group lands on a black seven.
- Any group may move onto an empty column; its bottom card can be anything.
- Foundations build up by suit from Ace to King, one card at a time. Send all 52 there to win.
- When a move uncovers a face-down card, it flips face-up automatically.
- Double-tap a top card to send it straight to its foundation, and use Auto to finish once every card is face-up.
Yukon vs. Klondike
The rules look similar, but Yukon plays very differently. Because you can drag a messy pile of cards onto a valid base, buried cards become reachable far sooner. There is no waiting on the luck of a stock draw, so almost every position offers something to try. That freedom makes Yukon a great next step once Klondike feels easy.
Moving cards: drag or tap
On a computer, drag a card or a group onto a legal column. On a phone, tap a card to pick it up — legal columns are highlighted — then tap where you want it. Use Undo to explore lines and Hint when you are stuck. Tap Daily for the same shuffle everyone gets that day and build a streak. Your game saves automatically, so you can close the tab and return right where you left off.
